History of Design 1830 to Present: Presentation #3 Assignment: Interior Designers

Objectives

  • To become aware of early interior designers, their style, interiors, and inspirations
  • Explain their design and concept development through images
  • Organize and present information in a group format

Assignment 

  1. Each group will be assigned a specific interior designer.  Research and present upon the following
    1. Brief history of how they got involved in Interior Design
    2. Development of their style
    3. Characteristics of their style
    4. What was going on in the world that influenced their work
  2. Include the following:
    1. At least 15 images
    2. A diagram of characteristics of their style

i.     Print this slide as a handout for your classmates

  1. Work Cited – References are mandatory
  2. Organize into a 15 minute slide presentation to share with the class
    1. Please burn the presentation along with a document of your notes onto a CD
      • Label CD with name of presentation, group members, class and quarter
      • Include a bibliography as your last slide
    2. Be prepared to ask questions of the other presenters
